Privacy Policy

What we collect

  • Account data: email, username, display name, password (stored only as a secure hash), optional avatar, title, bio and country.
  • Purchase data: order amount, status, tax and a payment reference from our payment provider. We never receive or store card details.
  • Activity data: things you do on the site that power badges and your dashboard (e.g. games played, downloads, posts).
  • Technical data: session cookies needed to keep you logged in, and basic server logs for security.

Why we use it

  • To provide the membership you bought (contract performance).
  • To process payments, keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
  • To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and keep the community safe (legitimate interest).
  • To send optional club updates — only if you opt in (consent, withdrawable anytime).

What’s public

Nothing, by default. If you turn on “Public profile”, your display name, username, avatar, title, bio, country, member number, join date and badges become visible on the Wall, leaderboards and your profile page. Your email and payment details are never public. Posts in the feed are visible to visitors.

Who we share with

  • Payment provider (Stripe) to process payments.
  • Hosting, database, storage and email providers acting on our behalf.
  • Authorities, only where legally required.

We don’t sell your data or use third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies

We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in. No marketing cookies.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires (up to 10 years in Germany).

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data (Settings → Your data), object to processing, restrict it, withdraw consent and complain to a data protection authority. Contact support@youmeuseless.com for anything else.
